Artisans I love: Alina from Hanaletters

You might have noticed that I often include some lovely felt brooches in my Etsy treasuries. These adorable little pieces of artwork come from the inspired creativity of the talented Alina. Her Etsy shop is always full of colorful treasures, which are a great mix of fancy designs, gorgeous colour palettes and the most stunning embroidered details. Just beautiful!

And her blog is definitely worth a visit too.. you will find a lot of pics of her work in progress, inspirations and previews! : )

A yellow raincoat

The rain girl figurine is one of the most appreciated characters in my shop. Remember her?
Not only she's now available again, but I also made a charm version - the one with bangs in the pic over here-  and a miniature terrarium pendant with a micro figurine in a yellow raincoat under the tiniest felt cloud..all into a super small glass vial! Ain't she cute?  ^_^

Mardi Gras

With a bit of shame, I have to admit that this year I did not find the time to go out and enjoy the Venice Carnival.. today it's Mardi Gras, the last day of  celebrations, and I'm still stuck at home studying.
Just let me show you some beautiful pics of the masks, and a super tiny Venetian Lady figurine that I made some time ago as a custom order.
Hope you enjoy!

Except for the one with the miniature lady in white, all of these beautiful pics are from Flickr, so here are the links to the original photos.
Many thanks to the authors for sharing them under a CreativeCommons license! : )

Cutlery

As far back as I can remember, I have always been fascinated by miniature objects, and tiny cutlery makes no exception. : )

And a tiny spoon can make a comfortable nest for a really small kitten, while a micro mouse could easily try to steal the cherry from a teeny tiny cupcake standing on a dollhouse fork.. what do you think about this? ; )

( last Mouse and Cheshire kitten still available here

Circus!

I finally got (a little part of) the miniature bottles I was waiting for!
I always underestimate the amount of tiny vials I need for my projects.  : )
But this tiny elephant truly needed a little bottle to host him, as he only measures a quarter of an inch, not including the base! : )

The snow pixie

These days is snowing a little here - but it's darn cold and very windy : )

I was inspired by a frosty day to create this lovely snow pixie.
She has glittery wings, woolen white hair and handpainted little details. She wears the tiniest pixie hat, handstitched from white felt and embellished with many different beads and a micro felt leaf.

She's just one inch long from her tiny feet to the top of her fairy wings, and these pics do not really make justice to her.. she's so much cuter in real life!  : )

And many other tiny pixies are coming soon, so stay tuned! ; )

PS: this is how my garden looks right now.. so much different from the springtime version! :D
