Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

[Stegosaurus]: ”This is a fertile land, & we will thrive. We will rule over all this land,
and we will call it... This Land.”
[Allosaurus]: “I think we should call it... your grave!”
[Stegosaurus]: “Ah! Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!”
[Allosaurus]: “Ha ha ha! Mine is an evil laugh! Now DIE!”

If you are familiar with the awesome sci-fi series "Firefly",
you'll immediately recognize this scene
(Wash, Serenity's  pilot, playing with two dinosaur toys).
If not.. what are you waiting for, go and watch it! : )

Anyway, I am currently re-watching the series, and I couldn't resist the temptation to recreate this scene with miniature clay figurines. I am quite happy with the final result, and I decided to make it available on Society6 as an art print (mainly for geeks like me, I suppose  :P )

This is the first time I offer any of my pics/drawings as prints, and
I have to admit I am a bit shy about it.
For now, you will find it available as a (framed or not) art print,
streched canvas, Iphone skin/case and stationery card.

But since I am really enthusiast about this new project, I'll try to add more images
to my Society6 shop, and maybe even some tote bags & tees.

I really hope you'll like this, and of course it would be fantastic if the geeks among my readers (I know you are out there! :D ) could help me spread the news.. cmon, we're talking about tiny dinosaurs on a spaceship after all! : )

Also, in case you like my tiny dinosaurs, use this promo link  to get FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING
(valid until August 10, 2014 at Midnight Pacific Time)

Ps: the original dinosaur couple I used for this shot will soon be available in my Etsy shop..

..along with an even tinier version I sculpted just for fun
(totally not obsessed with going tinier and tinier, uh :P )

Well, that's all for now! : )
I wish you a lovely weekend, and I'll leave you with a super colourful pic I took to thank my Tumblr readers.. who are now more than 2K!

Big hugs,

The Black Faun

In case you are wondering, I am dealing with sadness by working day & night.. : )

I should probably start restocking my autumn/winter items, but right now I really feel the urge to follow my inspiration and create whimsical fantasy creatures.. so here is another faun, this time with a tiny elf friend and a Jackalope companion to go with him. Minimal design, sober colours (just black, white, light pink and antique gold) for a One Of A Kind little figurine that is both cute and a bit creepy. : )

What do you think about this style?

(also: accidents that sometimes happen when working with black paint :P )

I managed to get black acrylic on my arms, hands, hair and even legs..
still not sure about what happened! :D

The Black Faun is available in my Storenvy shop.
